Horizon Forbidden West

The much-anticipated release of the second game in the Horizon franchise is almost upon us! On February 18, 2022, Aloy’s adventure continues with stunning graphics, compelling side quests, and brand-new features. Explore dangerously beautiful underwater regions, play with new weaponry, and unravel the mystery of the Red Blight that threatens the globe. Most of the game takes place on the western frontier, far from Aloy’s home. You’ll see familiar locations like Yosemite and San Francisco, meet new allies and enemies, encounter new beast-machines, and so much more in this action-packed post-apocalyptic wonderscape.

God of War: Ragnarok

The ninth installment of the God of War series is slated for release sometime in 2022, though actual dates have not yet been announced. Kratos and Atreus will journey through the Nine Realms, collecting allies and answers while armies prepare for Ragnarok, the world-ending battle. Your travels will take you through breath-taking landscapes as you face new and old foes while hunting for Tyr, the Norse God of War. God of War: Ragnarok weaves the conclusion of the Norse era in the series, so you won’t want to miss out!

Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 offers even more game modes to customize your gameplay. This game reintroduces GT Simulation Mode, where you can purchase, tune, race, or sell your way through the solo campaign while unlocking new vehicles and new missions. GT Sport Mode allows you to step up the competition in head-to-head races. GT fans can’t wait to get behind the wheel with the Gran Turismo 7 Digital Deluxe Edition, packed with bonus content. These fans won’t have to wait too much longer, as its scheduled release date is March 4, 2022.

Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI is due to release on June 16, 2022. This game is set in the world of Valisthea, controlled by six factions vying for power. Clive, the Archduke of Rosaria, his brother the Dominant, Joshua, and their sister Jill must restore balance and battle The Blight that threatens not only their region but all of Valisthea. The game will feature an open world similar to FFXIX, but with much more player control and in-world repercussions based on the player’s choices and actions. As always, the Final Fantasy developers are keeping their cards close to the chest with regards to most game details, so we’ll just have to wait and see what they deliver.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

Bethesda is bringing us a paranormal first-person action-adventure next year with Ghostwire: Tokyo. In this world, a large-scale paranormal event has caused the disappearance of 99% of the population. Myths and monsters from Japanese folklore now plague the streets and hunt the remaining survivors. Those survivors aren’t helpless, as they harness paranormal powers to save the city. Ghostwire: Tokyo is scheduled for a 2022 release, though the exact date has yet to be announced.
